The Discovery
John had discovered in his backyard something like an entrance shaped like a hatch. After he cleaned the area around it, he then tried prying the lid open. He made sure he didn’t inhale too much since he had no idea if there was mold or harmful gas fumes inside. John carefully looked inside and he was amazed by what he saw.

Underneath the lid in John’s backyard, there were a series of what appeared to be sharp blades. After taking a closer look, however, John realized that it was a spiral staircase which lead downward. Many people wouldn’t think twice about exploring a newfound discovery. John, on the other hand, hesitated despite being ecstatic. His hesitation was for good reason.
