Maria had a bad feeling about the whole thing. She saw a man pacing back and forth in the forest. He had a sheepish expression on his face. It seemed like he was hiding or running away from something. She wondered who the man was and what his problem was. Maria could feel her heart in her throat. She did not know what was going on and what was coming.

Maria’s dog growled but she held him close and tried to reassure him that there was nothing wrong. She was crouching behind a tree and watching the man. She did not want him to know she was there. After a couple of minutes, the man ran off and disappeared into the woods. She thought that was the end of it. There was nothing to worry about anymore. She was so wrong.
