The anime stranded on the iceberg had fur to keep from the cold but it was soaked. With the wind blowing wildly from all directions, the small creature will freeze to death. The crew’s heart was warmed as they realized that they had to help. They had no idea what specific animal it was but they knew that they had to rescue it.

Taking things slow
The water below them was deadly cold, therefore, it was vital that they take things slow. The ice floating around them could easily damage their boat as well or worse capsize and leave them stranded there just like the animal they were trying to rescue. Therefore the whole crew was on the alert, looking out for any dangerous object that can derail them.
