While shoveling through some rubble during a bathroom renovation, this plumber struck gold – literally. He caught sight of something shiny and grabbed it. Immediately, he saw it was a gold brick. As it turns out, it ended up being worth $50,000. Seeing as he was an honest man, the plumber gave it to the homeowners.

Another interesting find was when $500,000 in cash was found by contractors who were doing a renovation in Arizona. The cash was stuffed inside military ammunition containers. Well, the contractors claimed that the cash was legally theirs. However, the homeowners claimed since it was found on their property, it was theirs. The court disagreed with both parties. Instead, it ruled that the money belonged to the heirs of the man who stashed the money in the first place. The man who hid the money, Robert Spann, died 11 years before the cash was discovered, so the money was given to his two daughters.
