Not A Traditional Mantle
The crucifixion is another subject used in various films and paintings. In the film, Jesus was shown wearing a cape and a short tunic. The historians think that his robe was not a traditional mantle. Instead, it must have been a prayer mantle of some kind. If you watch the movie, you are going to reach the same conclusion that he was indeed donning that garment in particular.
