The stress of a wedding can be overwhelming for any bride, but it was too much for Princess Diana to bear! Her beauty deteriorated as a result of her depression. In the weeks leading up to the big day, she began to lose weight, making it impossible for her to fit into her dress. She also went through 15 full fittings to ensure that the dress was well fitted. “Every time she turned up for a fitting, she had lost more weight,” Elizabeth Emmanuel said in an interview. “We chalked it up to nerves,” the author notes. It did, though, make it very difficult for us to begin working on the garment. ” The morning of the ceremony, she was sewed into the gown.
