Maria got up and instantly took out her phone to ring the fire service. When she was put through, she told them about the trapped dog. They said that they would get to her location in 30 minutes. While waiting for help, Maria tried not to panic. She knew that time was of the essence but she could not really do anything to get the pup out of the ditch.

The fire service arrived around 30 minutes later. There were a hoard of people who came to the ditch in order to rescue the dog. Thankfully, the dog was rescued 30 minutes later! Maria felt overjoyed seeing the pup safe. However, she still had a question. How did the dog end up in the ditch in the first place? This was something she felt she really needed to find out.
