Barbara Parkins
At only 16, Barbara Parkins headed to Los Angeles in an effort to make a name for herself. She got her start as a nightclub backup dancer and singer. In 1961, she debuted with a crime film called 20,000 Eyes. She later starred in Valley of the Dolls and even got nominated for an Emmy!
