Headlines featuring police officers have usually a much darker story behind them these days. But this act of kindness brought Officer Jenkins out like a rough diamond. The Internet ran through the story and soon it turned into a media hit. Even major news networks such as FOX and NBC had this simple story of generosity. One commenter said, “Yes, there are some good ones out there. I got pulled over a couple of weeks ago for my tail lights being out and he helped me figure it out. It turned out that it had a fuse blown. He told me to drive the rest of the way home with my hazard lights on!” Nevertheless, some did not lose the context.

Officer Jenkins ‘ example of being a good Samaritan and thinking outside the box is just one story that illustrates the fact that there are indeed a ton of incredible police and women out there. You don’t really want to give tickets or throw yourself behind bars, but rather to help and protect your community. One comment about the post from Chy-Niece said the following, “Actually He gives all officers a good name…we have him but there are thousands more like him. The bad ones with attitudes overshadow the truly Professional officers like him. I do think Henrico has the best officers though.” Officer Jenkins ‘ compassion shone a light on possibilities that people have never fully taken into consideration.
