Michigan – 32.3% Obesity Rate

Can you believe that nearly a third of Michigan residents are obese? To be specific, 32.3 percent of them are. The truth is that this figure is already lower than the previous year, so not all hope is lost. At an obesity rate of 18.9 percent, nearly a fifth of kids aged 10 to 17 are obese. Some people speculate that this figure might be linked to the state’s low high school graduation rates. According to researchers, people who have a lower level of education have a higher risk of obesity.
