Charles and Diana’s union was so extravagant that it was declared a public holiday and a national holiday in the United Kingdom. This year’s summer vacation began on July 29, 1981. Our citizens, like our English mates, were delighted after the union. They decided to share their delight with the rest of the world. This is why the 29th of December has been designated as a national holiday.
