Karen was getting nearer to the due date, but the estimated date of delivery was October 5. This was why she brought her son Tarek to the grocery store. He was 10 years old, and they got there just fine. She, however, could tell that something was off as they were shopping. She started to get contractions!

She did not even get small contractions that were far apart. No, they were fast and intense! It was not what the majority of labors are like. The contractions got so intense that she had a hard time returning to the car. Karen even fell over! She paid for the items and drove back to Poe Place as quickly as possible.
