Kirkland Signature Pizzas – Palermo

In case you did not know, there is not much of a difference when you buy a Kirkland Signature Pizza and a frozen pizza from Palermo. After all, they are produced by the same company! The partnership has been going on since 2012 at least. The wholesale retailer is actually the biggest customer of Palermo.

Kirkland Signature La Mancha Spanish Saffron – La Mancha

Costco announced that it was going to sell the best saffron on the market in 2008. It sources the spice from a Spanish region called Castilla La Mancha. Seattle Times reveals that Costco buys most of the stock in the region and sells it low. “We want the best of the best, and we want to offer it to our members without them having to pay the premium,” explained Gary Kotzen, a Costco buyer, “We’ll bring it in, package it ourselves and offer it to our members at about one third or even one fifth of the cost of similar saffron… We did the same thing in 1997 with Tuscan olive oil.”
