For some time now there has been a movement in the food industry that calls for more and more natural, organically grown and seasonal products. This development has inspired us to find natural alternatives to conventional beauty products full of chemical ingredients. If you put more emphasis on your own natural beauty in your daily beauty routine, you could significantly reduce the amounts of cosmetics, creams and other chemical and expensive beauty products.
Nails
Soak your nails in olive oil for natural shine and resilience. After waiting approximately five minutes, simply remove the oil with the towel and dry your hands. A tip for whiter nails: try the same with freshly squeezed lemon juice!
Hair
If your hair is prone to oily hair, mix ¼ cup of organic apple cider vinegar with 1 cup of water. Apply the mixture and then rinse thoroughly. Pamper the ends of your hair with balm afterwards. To get a naturally beautiful shine, simply mash a banana and mix it with a raw egg. Apply this mixture to your hair and let the mask soak in for 15 minutes. Last but not least, the balm is used again in the ends of the hair.
Body
For a gentle body scrub, which is used to remove your dead skin cells, put a bar of soap in a bowl of granulated sugar. Use this natural beauty scrub in the shower and dip the soap in the sugar several times so that it retains its granular ´sweetness´. If you prefer a nice full bath, then it is advisable to add a cup of Epsomit to the water. This salt reduces muscle pain, stress and relaxes. Enjoy for twenty minutes and then rinse off. To treat cracked and dry skin on your heels, immerse your feet in warm water for ten minutes, then rub them with a pumice stone. Apply olive oil generously and wrap your feet in plastic wrap. Put socks on over them (to prevent slipping) and relax.
Face Mask
If you “feed” your facial skin with the right nutrients, you can use these tips to cleanse it and give it the necessary moisture at the same time. For care and cleaning, squeeze the juice of one lemon into a bowl and add ¼ cup of almond oil. Mix the two ingredients and apply gently. For a homemade natural face mask, mix together ½ cup of oatmeal, 1 egg white, 2 tablespoons of honey and another 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt. Mix well and apply thinly to the skin. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off again.
Swollen Eyes
Moisten a couple of green tea bags and put them in the refrigerator. Place on your eyes for 10 minutes and relax. The second way to declare war on puffy eyes early in the morning is based on a similar principle: Leave two teaspoons in the refrigerator overnight, and simply place them on the eyes the next morning. (Like ice to treat swelling). Important: The spoons should be cold but not frozen to avoid damaging the already sensitive skin around the eyes.
