With so many lipstick colors to choose from, it can be hard to find the one that matches your skin and compliments your features. You may not realize, but your lips are such an important feature to focus on and a key aspect of completing your look. The wrong lip color can destroy all the hard work, so be sure to follow these guidelines when choosing which color to use.
Cooler tones are usually those with pink, bluish, or red tint to your skin. You can also check this if your veins in your wrist look evidently blue and if you are likely to burn before getting a tan. This is usually common amongst paler individuals and they pair best with shades like blue- or purple shaded undertones, and stay far away from light colors because they will typically wash you out. Personally, I am a pale woman myself and I love to slap on a bright berry shade to really make my face pop and dress up my appointment.
If you have a neutral shade then you are lucky because your complexion basically looks good with any color. Fancy night out with the beau? Try a wine-colored lip! Classy brunch? Go ahead and test the light pink, basically, anything will work for you so you don’t have to be picky.
If you still are not clear about what color looks best on you but you have a deeper understanding of what skin color you are then that’s okay! Try and play around with different colors and shades and test out what looks best on you. Nothing is set in stone, feel free to try different shades out. Just remember that choosing your lip color is a personal decision and there are no set rules. Whatever you feel you look the best in and what’s important to choose a lip color that makes you feel confident!
